The exhibition Video takes the video back to the monitor and makes it possible for the visitor to compare the new aesthetic visual language, irrespective of whether it is an art video, an advertising video, or a music clip. The exhibition begins with the 1980s, the decade when there is the first generation of “TV children,” private television is launched (in Germany), and in America (and later in Europe) the first station devoted solely to music begins broadcasting: MTV.
